Thanksgiving

I haven't been able to remember to take many pictures at family functions lately. It's becoming even more difficult when you know your 2 year old is just going to steal the camera anyway claiming that she can take pictures of "people"... this should translate to pictures of the floor, ceiling, someone's leg, furniture, etc. So here are a few shots of Thanksgiving dinner at Tia Virgie's house before the camera was swiped.

How Sofi sees her family. Doesn't Ofelia look like she's trying to intimidate her big sister?
Look! I found food!

Happy Birthday Mr. President?

Laughing?

1st Birthday Part 2

Not that you'd know it from these pics, but Matt and Rosie (godparents) came over to celebrate Ofelia's first birthday. We made dinner and Mat-a-Rosie (what Sofi calls them) brought cupcakes.

Ok, here comes the traditional 1st birthday cupcake attack. Step 1: get baby nakedededed.

Step 2: Sing and blow out candles. Do this several times if you have a 2 year old sister who just learned how to blow out candles.
Step 3: Scare baby by placing lit candle near her face?
Step 4: Let baby attack cupcake. Rubbing chocolate into tummy is optional.
Step 5: Clean cute, chubby, chocolatey baby.

1st Birthday Part 1

Our Ofelia is 1! Mama and Papa bought her a new carseat! She was very excited, and Sofi seemed happy to have a forward facing buddy.

That evening we went to Wash Park for a very last minute gathering. Mike's mom, brother, and Aunties showed up along with LT and family to celebrate and have some cupcakes. LT and Sofi were put in charge of sprinkles.
LT learning who the "Master" is.
Cute chocolate faces.

Ofelia with Izzy.
We didn't let her dig into a cupcake the traditional way due to the park setting, but she definitely ate her share.
Where did our baby go? Only 14 more years until they're both with the National Team.

Snow!

The week before Halloween it snowed. This is what our "backyard" looked like.

This is what our older daughter looked like.
Sofi was so excited to play in the snow. Ofelia had no idea why we were stuffing her into a snow suit.
Mucho nieve!
Ofelia lasted as long as it took me to take these 2 photos. She wasn't much for sitting in cold, wet snow. Sofi stayed out til her jeans got soaked. We had to go throw the nieve again later that afternoon. She can't wait to go sledding.

Halloween

Sofi definitely understood Halloween this year. She was wearing her Abby Cadabby (see Sesame Street) costume for weeks. Papa was prepping her for all the running door to door. It was really fun watching her excitement. Can't wait for both of the girls to be running up and down the street together.

We started off with Abby and our little bee doing some warm up trick-or-treating on Tenn Street. All of the businesses were handing out treats that morning. Sofi was rarely without candy in her mouth and Ofelia had her share of lolly pops too.

D-train was Sofi's right hand man that morning. She made sure he was close at all times. Here they are with the fake dog.

The blow up witch.
Another Abby?!
After 2 hours of trick-or-treating my little bee crashed out.
Between the morning and evening walks we collected quite the stash.
