Do I something on my face?

In the bath...
And out of the bath.

After breakfast.

Screwed

Yup, screwed. We now have two mobile kids. As of a couple Sundays ago, Ofelia is crawling. A couple days ago I put Ofelia down with some toys and rocked Sofi (helps her unwind before a nap). Before I knew it Ofelia was sitting next to the rocking chair proudly looking up at me with the lamp cord between her teeth. She's almost managed to pull our little potted tree down on top of her. She's torn off aloe leaves (if that's what you call the cactus like things that make up an aloe plant). She loved tearing Sofi's chupon out of Sofi's mouth, and never misses the opportunity to sneak up and pull Sofi's hair. Yup, screwed.

Here's some pre-crawling, backward, g.i. joe action.

And the real thing in the beginning stages. Leave it to my chubby chubby to need a little food to prompt on camera crawling.

Since this last bit of filming, Ofelia's crawling skills have gained both speed and confidence. Oh I can't wait til they're both walking!

Girly Girl

We took Sofi to get her first haircut the other day. Mike and I were pretty worried about what Sofi's reaction to someone with scissors near her head would be. Sofi's stylist started out sectioning her hair... Mike and I looked at each other like 'uh-oh, I wonder if we'll walk out with half a hair cut?'

Even Ofelia was concerned and a little scared. No, wait, that's tired and asleep.

This is my 'please hurry, please hurry' mantra in action. I don't think Sofi really cared what was going on behind her.

Uh-oh, she's looking in the mirror. Stay calm.

YES! She's smiling. Everything is right with the world.

I guess we should have figured that our little chica who can't get enough purses, dresses, and tattoos (should make for interesting teen years) would love the salon.

Mrs. Roboto?

A few months ago Sofi's cousin, Joseph, was hiding from Sofi. He popped out of some pillows and said, "I'm not Joseph, I'm a robot!" Well, out of nowhere Sofi has started saying "I'm not Sofi, I'm a robot." It's pretty funny how Sofi brought this out months later. 'Robot' also seems to have a personality of her own. The other day Sofi said, "I'm not Sofi, I'm a Robot. Robot made a mess!" Great. My kid has multiple personalities, and one of them is messy.
