Hi Smiles! *
Ofelia is getting stronger and stronger these days. She's been sitting up with support for a while now, but she's starting to do it without support lately. Here she is hanging out with Ernie.

Sofi and Ofelia are really starting to like each other. Ofelia smiles just as big at Sofi in the morning as she does me, and Sofi usually likes playing with Ofelia. Sometimes they both decide to wear "bubble" jammies.
Here Sofi was showing Ofelia the little animals and pushing her gently in the jumparoo.
When the umbrella stroller is out Sofi asks me to put Ofelia in and then she pushes her around the loft.

Easter Eggs
Happy Easter! Yes, I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but we've been sick these last couple of weeks. Here's Ofelia spreading some Easter cheer.
That morning we let Sofi color some eggs. My little neat freak was very careful with the eggs and made sure not to touch the colored water for fear of getting 'sucio'.

I know it won't be Ofelia's favorite nickname later, but we've been referring to her as "Chubby Chubby" lately. It's funny to hear Sofi say 'Hi, Chubby Chubby' when Ofelia wakes up in the morning. So on Easter morning we gave Ofelia rice cereal for the first time. Little Chubby Chubby knew just what to do with it!
Here's her first bite. Sofi had to sit on the counter to supervise.
Not sure she liked it at first.
Thinking about it...

Thinking about it...This just in... er, out?
A couple of weeks ago Mike sat Sofi on the potty with a book to read. I went in and was reading with her (NO, I was not on the potty!) and she got this surprised look on her face. Then a big smile came across her face and she stood up. Sofi peed in the potty!!! Yay!!! We tried to make a big deal out of it and went to go get the camera.
Here she is posing with her potty.
Another pose - thanks to Papa's suggestion.
The next day Sofi sat down again and went poo! She stood up to see it and I started rolling! The poo she couldn't find was stuck to her butt!

Hmm, I don't think so
Days 4/5: Sacramento
We headed up to Sacto to stay with my big bro and his family. By the time Sofi got out of the car this time and realized there was a whole different crowd of people to meet/greet/and catch up with, she decided she'd had enough. She started strong, but finished up by laying in Papa's lap and crying if you tried to move her.
Here's part of her strong start with Grandma Sandy and Ofelia.
This is cousin Noah and cousin Austin.
This is Noah's mom "Big Julie" posing with us and unhappy Sofi. You can see Grandpa Charlie (my dad) off to the left.
This is Ofelia's homegirl Gabby. She's Julie's youngest and only a month older than Ofelia.
This is a picture of me, most of the group I hung out with in high school and all of our family members. Crazy how we're still in touch in one way or another.
This is Ofelia hanging out with Grandma Sandy just before...
Overall we had a great trip. Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of everyone who made it over to Sacto to say hi. Thanks to everyone who gave us a place to sleep, food to eat, and went out of their way to drive to different places to see us.

I'm going back to Cali...
Day 3/4: Dos Palos and Tracy
We did a lot of driving in CA. Sofi and Ofelia learned to take naps in the car and always woke up to a new city and a new group of people. They both did a pretty good job adapting. I think Sofi was a little confused about the crazy 'houses' with 'yards'... what happened to the elevator and parking garages?! Ahh loft living.
On day 3 we drove to the middle of nowhere, aka Dos Palos, to visit with one of my best friends from high school and her fam. Here are most of them hanging out while Sofi steals a doll and a snack.
Sofi really took to Janessa (my goddaughter). She still says "Nessa, ball? Nessa, ball?" Janessa tried to show Sofi a few soccer moves while we were there. Little Jonathon (below) is about Sofi's age and they spent plenty of time fighting over toys.
