Pumpkin Carving

A couple weeks ago (yes we were early) we got a few pumpkins.

Sofi loved them very much.

One night we decided to carve them. Ofelia wanted to make the evening more festive and put on her costume.

Bzzzz!

Eeewww! Guts!

Ofelia is not sure what all the war cries are for.

Girls war cry on 3! 1, 2, 3!

More guts.

Two pumkins and two near naked girls.

Random Cuteness II

New Curious George beenie.

Jumping on the couch after bath time.

Hugs in the hallway.

Our newest challenge is trying to get Ofelia to go to sleep at night. I guess this works.

Crib jumping.

Sofi combing Ofelia's hair.

Diaper Duty

Yes, Sofi really did try to change Ofelia's diaper after bath time.

Rub-a-dub-dub 3 kids in the tub?

The other night Dylan and Jamie came over for some dinner. It was bath night and Sofi decided she would get Dylan to take a bath with her and Ofelia. She showed him how to get naked and run around the house (great, can't wait til she's in high school). Dylan got to show off the lion tattoo on his chest. Ofelia was just excited to be hanging out with the big kids.

I thought is was hard to get 2 kids to look at the camera and smile at the same time.

Dylan clearly happy about his bath.

Ofelia trying to show off by standing against the side of the tub.

This is the happiest I've ever seen Sofi while she's getting her hair washed.

Mike even washed Dylan's hair!

Fun times that ended with all the kids melting down.

Race for the Cure!

A few weeks ago Team Unstoppable joined forces with Team Christa! and did the 5k walk for the Race for the Cure.

Team Christa! met up at our place for some pre-race food before heading out in support of our friend Christa.

Christa's mom knit the entire team some nice warm beenies for the race. It was a good thing too. That was how we were able to spot each other in the unbelievable crowd.

Here we are somewhere on Speer Blvd waiting to start.

This picture doesn't do the view justice. Both sides of the street for blocks and blocks were packed with supporters.

Ofelia and Sofi were definitely overwhelmed but managed to do a pretty good job.

Down Federal Ave.

Ofelia found some comfy plastic railing to sleep on during the race. Sofi got rides from mama and papa for about 3 of the 3.2 miles.

Some of Team Christa! at about the half way point.

Here's a rare family photo. Yes, I think Ofelia is asleep and Sofi is definitely crying, but it's all 4 of us in a picture together!

Look! Two of the people are dressed as boobies!

Two Hams in a Crib

A new favorite passtime in our house is crib jumping. Both girls get into the crib and (yes, you guessed it) jump! They are really good about posing for pictures while doing this.

Sofi stops to give Ofelia a little side hug.

Such hams.

I don't know what this look is, but it cracks me up.

Look at those cheeks!

Girls and Cupcakes

A few weeks ago I made cupcakes with the girls. For the most part Sofi handed me a few ingredients (she's recently moved up to cracking eggs) and then helped with the decorations. Ofelia started out a little confused about what a cupcake was and why she had to sit in her high chair.

Sofi was super excited about shaking sprinkles onto the cupcakes.

OH! You eat them! Why didn't you say?

Sofi put each sprinkle on one by one by smooshing it into the cupcake.

Ofelia thought the spatula added to the cupcake experience.

Sofi followed up sprinkle placement with a good finger cleaning. Yeah, I bet those of you who ate some of the cupcakes will think twice about accepting next time.
